This page provides information about high frequency digital oscilloscopes and oscilloscope connectivity to a regular PC.

High Frequency/ High Sampling Rate Oscilloscope Manufacturers:

Go Tektronix
Go Agilent
Go Lecroy

The following oscilloscopes have inbuilt VXIP&P-VISA support. These oscilloscopes can be interfaced to JitLab without any additional hardware or software.

You can install JitLab directly on the oscilloscope. Or you can install JitLab on an IBM compatible PC and connect to the oscilloscope using LAN.

    Tektronix
  • TDS1000, TDS2000, TDS3000B, TDS5000, TDS6000, TDS7000 or TDS7000B Series Digital Oscilloscopes
  • CSA7000 Series Communications Signal Analyzer
    Agilent
  • 54853A - 2.5 GHz, 32 MB Max, 20 GSa/s
  • 54854A - 4 GHz, 32 MB Max, 20 GSa/s
  • 54855A - 6 GHz, 32 MB Max, 20 GSa/s

Solutions for oscilloscopes not having VXIP&P-VISA support, but having a GPIB interface.

  • Agilent LAN/GPIB gateway card - E5810A
  • Tektronix GPIB-LAN Adaptor AD007:
The AD007 adaptor allows GPIB devices to talk or listen to networked computers and peripherals through a 10Base-T Ethernet connection. It also supports Virtual Instrument Software Architecture (VISA) interface and can be used to interface to VISA compliant software.
  • National Instruments GPIB card for PC
