The schematic editor plugin allows you to add and connect modules in a fully graphical environment.
Just select and add the modules from the module list, connect them with the
wires the way you want, and you are done.
Just click on the run button to execute the design.
The picture above shows the schematic editor with a sample schematic.
Below is a brief description of the various tool buttons.
Selector Tool
Click on the selector tool to switch to select mode.
You can click on a module, wire or a junction to select it.
Or, you can draw a window to select multiple items.
To draw the window, move the mouse while holding the left mouse button down.
You can move the selected items by holding the left mouse button down on one of the selected
items and then moving the mouse.
Module Adder Tool
Click on the module adder tool to switch to module add mode.
In this mode, if you click on a blank schematic area, the module list will popup.
Select the desired module and click ok to add it.
You can add multiple modules of the same or different types.
Wire Adder Tool
Click on the wire adder tool to switch to wire add mode.
In this mode, click with the left mouse button once on a module pin, wire or junction
to start a new wire. Click with the left mouse button again on a module pin, wire or junction
to terminate the wire. You can also add intermediate stops by clicking the left mouse button
on the blank space.
Refresh
Click on the refresh button to refresh the schematic window.
Delete
Click on the delete button to delete the selected items.
Misc
- To move items, select them and then drag them with the left mouse button.
- To view settings of a module, double click the module symbol with the left mouse button.
- To save the schematic, click on the Save option under File menu.
