Plot: Plot Module

The Plot module can display the inputs waveforms with respect to time. It is designed to support unlimited waveforms, though more than 10 waveforms can make it cluttered. It supports zoom operations, multiple cursors with position readout and auto-scrolling. You can drag & drop min, max & cycle-cycle statistics from the stats window to the plot window to center-on that particular statistic occurrence location. It supports the programming and graphical user interface as explained below.

The Plot module supports following user interfaces:

Graphical Interface

Ports

CH1-4

Connect the waveform(s) to be viewed to the CHx input ports.

Toolbar

Horizontal Cursors Horizontal Cursor Button Image

Click to show or hide horizontal cursors. You can drag a horizontal cursor with left mouse button to make precise measurements on the horizontal axis. Pressing the left or right arrow on the keyboard moves cursor1 and doing so while pressing Shift moves cursor2.

Vertical Cursors Vertical Cursor Button Image

Click to show or hide vertical cursors. You can drag a vertical cursor with left mouse button to make precise measurements on the vertical axis. Pressing the up or down arrow on the keyboard moves cursor1 and doing so while pressing Shift moves cursor2.

Paired Cursors Paired Cursor Button Image

Click to show or hide paired cursors. Paired cursors are horizontal cursors with automatic vertical cursors. Moving the horizontal cursors places the vertical cursors automatically at the current waveform value.

Color

Click to change the color of the selected waveform.

ON/OFF

Allows the selected waveform to be switched OFF without deleting it.

Wfm

Enter a waveform number to select or click the up or down arrow to select a waveform.

Vertical Setup

Scale (Vertical) [Textbox]

Vertical scale is specified in volts per division. Enter a value either with keyboard or click the up or down arrow to increase or decrease it. If Auto is checked, then the scale is automatically calculated to vertically fit the waveform nicely in the plot window.

Offset (Vertical) [Textbox]

Vertical offset is specified in volts. Enter a value either with keyboard or click the up or down arrow to increase or decrease it. If Auto is checked, then the offset is automatically calculated to vertically fit the waveform nicely in the plot window.

Position (Vertical) [Textbox]

Vertical position is specified in divisions. Enter a value either with keyboard or click the up or down arrow to increase or decrease it.

Horizontal Setup

Scale (Horizontal) [Textbox]

Horizontal scale is specified in seconds per division. Enter a value either with keyboard or click the up or down arrow to increase or decrease it. If Auto is checked, then the scale is automatically calculated to horizontally fit the waveform fully in the plot window.

Offset (Horizontal) [Textbox]

Horizontal offset is specified in seconds. Enter a value either with keyboard or click the up or down arrow to increase or decrease it. If Auto is checked, then the offset is automatically calculated to horizontally fit the waveform fully in the plot window.

Auto Scroll (Horizontal) [Checkbox]

If Auto Scroll is checked, and if Horizontal Offset up or down arrow is clicked, the offset automatically keeps on increasing or decreasing respectively till one of the arrows is clicked again.
